A numbers game

This week, is one for the numbers:

0 - chemo treatments

2 - PIC lines put in to aid in taking blood/giving meds to Dad

5 - trips to Medical City in Dallas for various reasons

2 - trips to the ER (1 admission)

2 - liters of fluid drained from Daddy's chest/lungs on Saturday

3 - nights inpatient stay (so far)

4 - number of iv's that were 'piggybacked' on Daddy tonight

5 - chest x-rays to confirm that Daddy has pneumonia

17 - minutes it takes me (one way) to drive to the hospital

20 - the number to which Eli can count! Who knew? He does occasionally mix up in the 'teens'...see what spending so much time with my parents can do for a kid?

10,000 or more - times Daddy has coughed since June 4th

many phone calls, cards and visits from family and friends

100,000 or more - prayers said for Daddy, for our family and for our caregivers/doctors as we work our way down this difficult road.

Thank you for being so supportive of us. We appreciate you so much! Keep the prayers and kind words coming!
