Little Surgery

Okay, this morning's surgery wasn't anything like we thought it would be!

First of all, it started late. I know that's to be expected, but they called yesterday to move it up an hour and then we didn't start until the original time! arghhhhh!

Then, the surgery was a little more involved than we had originally thought. So, without getting too technical, Eli has stitches around his body part, up the bottom and across the tip. And, no surprise, he's in a lot of pain! Consequently, it took longer than we had thought it would.

He was so unhappy and uncomfortable this afternoon that I wasn't able to go to the hospital to visit my dad. He's still in ICU and it isn't looking good. Check the link on the side to read my latest post about that.

My mom did come to our house for dinner, though, so at least I got to see her today. Eli was so pitiful going between her, Husband and myself this evening. His pain didn't hinder his appetite, though, and he stole food right off Mom's plate! Silly boy - now people will think we don't feed you!

Here's hoping we can all get some sleep tonight and everyone feels beter in the morning!
