Another doctor visit

This morning, Eli was pulling on his ear and complaining that his 'cheek' hurt. I remembered that the doctor on Wednesday said he had some fluid in his ear and to watch if he had more symptoms of an earache by the weekend. So, off to the immedia-care place we go...

The result? Ear infection. Now we're taking pain meds and using a topical in addition to the antibiotic.

My question for the day is this: How do we address Grandad's death with Eli? He's not yet 2 and a half and I don't want to say anything about sleeping. So far, we've implied that Grandad is at the 'hosipital.' Any suggestions?

Hey girl! Brady was 2 years and 3 months old when Poppy died. We told him that what we truly believed, God called him home. God knew Poppy's body was tired and He called him to heaven to rest with him there. He will see him again one day, but for now we have to say, see you later, and take care of Mimi. And that is what Brady did.
Brady did okay until Poppy's casket was taken away - then he screamed and cried. It was horrible to see - but a wonderful part of the grieving process.
Eli will amaze you like he never has! These little guys are amazing!

Praying for all of you!!!
Love y'all!

We told Lilly that grandpa went to heaven. She informed us that he ran away to heaven. Either way, she knows he's with grandma in heaven and seems content with that answer even though she doesn't completely understand it. Hope you figure out what works for you and him. Take care... my prayers are coming your way.
Love,
Brenda

We don't live in this world forever. We're only visiting. Our real home is with God and someday we'll all be there with him. Eli's grandad's time to go home was now. We'll all be there together someday, but for now we have work to do here. Won't it be a joy when we all get to be together again. Love ya'll.

Tell him the truth and answer any questions as honestly as possible. It might help to say that he's now become his Guardian Angel as he was too ill too watch over him on earth.
Gemma was a toddler when my mother in law died and it was amazing how well she accepted it. She's 14 now and still talks about her as my Nan who's the angel.
