I can't believe it!!

In just over a week, I'll be in Kentucky! This make me feel so many emotions. Sadness/Grief that David won't be there. Happiness to see the boys and Jen. Love to know Eli can play with Davey and Max - they're the only 'cousins' he has. Excitement that we get to attend/assist with Davey's birthday party. Panic that I have so much to do before I leave town! arghhhhh! Okay, back to excitement...

And, as part of the weekend, we get to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's annual Light the Night walk. Eli and I will take part along with Jen, the boys and several of their friends. If you are so inclined, please donate to our team at:

but, in the very least, please continue to pray for Jen and the boys.

I've said it before and I'll say it again that we are so blessed that my parents are in town and are able and willing to keep Eli for us. This week, I got a phone call from Husband at about the time he was dropping Eli off. It went a little something like this:
"Don't panic. He doesn't need stitches."
me: "What?"
him: "Yeah, he tripped on our way into the house. Hit his head, his nose and his chin on the tile floor. I heard a big thud when he went down."
me: "What?"
him: "He has a big goose egg on his forehead, his nose isn't bleeding anymore and he has a scratch on his chin. Otherwise, he's fine. I didn't even stay after he stopped crying. Your dad shooed me out the door."
me: "What?"
him: "Just be prepared when you go get him later that he got hurt today."
me: "Okay. What next?"
him: "Got another call. Talk to you later."
and he was gone. Guess what I stewed about all day???

You KNOW it won't be his last! You have a boy - those critters spend a lot of time visiting the ER. :)
