Eli is now singing the 'Happy Birthday to Eli' song to himself. He just cracks himself up - every time he sings it, he just giggles and giggles!
My parents bought him a Red Flyer Tricycle for his birthday. It's a 12-inch rather than a 10 inch. I don't really know what that measures - maybe the wheels? They are nice whitewall tires and cute tassles on each handlebar. It also has a cool bell - which Eli rings by spinning the parts rather than pushing the lever...
But, the trike is too large for him. We put some blocks onto the pedals to see if that would help. It did, a little. However, he prefers to get a push ride. He seemed to enjoy the trike before we put the blocks on the pedals. After we 'fixed it,' he just didn't want to ride it. My parents were good sports, though, and didn't show their disappointment that he wasn't thrilled. But then after my parents left, he was more interested.
We even brought it inside so he could practice getting on and off and get another push-ride.
Tonight before he went to bed and after his 'fishie shower,' he had to give his trike some 'love.' He leaned into the handlebars first and said, 'ahh' and then leaned on the back wheel for some more.
