Happy birthday to my best friend, Jen! If you're a regular follower of my blog, you've heard me mention Jen several (okay – maybe a lot more than SEVERAL) times. She is one of those friends who are few and far between and God allowed us to become friends just when I needed her the most! And, she's lived far away for 8 and a half years now - I still miss her but can convince myself that she's just down the street since I talk to her on the phone so much! ;-) Kentucky is my favorite place to vacation - just because Jen is there and we can 'hang' like we used to when we lived a mile apart. (Except that now there are little boys that 'hang' with us! Have I mentioned how much Eli loves her boys?)She defines the word loyal and those who know her would agree that she sets an amazing Christian example to everyone she's around. I truly emulate her selflessness. She has had a very difficult past year and a half (or so - to say the least!) and has managed to counsel many of us in spite of her loss and her continued issues related to it.
Through it all, she has remained strong, hopeful, prayerful and wise beyond her years. (No details today about specific numbers but know she's younger than me!)
She's a wonderful mother to her amazing Davey and her sweet Max and is always ready and willing to help with my latest parenting issues! I am so lucky to have her in my life and am so glad that she is my bestest friend!
