- Our trip to Louisville was uneventful - the plane ride, at least. Once there, it was 'non-stop Albright style!' We had a great time 'catching up' - which really isn't catching up for us since we are on the phone OFTEN...anyway, we spent some time with the boys and watching them interact. Eli has no cousins so this was great for him!
- We had a 'toilet issue' while visiting and who knew that we could laugh so hard when trying to snake a toilet? Although, if you know Jen and I at all, you can figure that we can make almost anything fun...she had to have a plumber take care of the blockage - a toy coin that Max decided to flush.
- We attended the St. James Art Fair. Minus two boys (Max at school and Davey at the zoo with friends), we pushed the stroller and loaded Eli down with packages all day. We picnicked under some trees and took a turn at the porta-toilets that were surprisingly clean. (Maybe this is because it was the first day of the fair?) I bought the most awesome birthday present for the soon-to-be 40 year old Husband! Can't wait to share that with him!
- We spent Saturday at the planetarium for Davey's 6th birthday party (which was great and nobody had a seizure during the laser show), Davey's soccer game (which they won but they officially don't keep score...yeah, right!), went to the jewelry store for our 'free' bracelets and then spent some money on charms (blew the budget here, thanks!), 'rested' at the house for a few minutes...
- Went to the Light the Night walk at the waterfront. If you haven't ever been to one of these, you should make plans. It was a wonderful way to celebrate those who are no longer with us (we miss you David) and to celebrate those still in the fight. The team was officially 28 strong - until Jen's parents joined us straight from the airport on their way home from ITALY! Wow! I know they had a long trip to get to Louisville, but they made it to the walk! What a blessing! It's always so much fun to see them! Thanks to the Straub's - for pushing a stroller in an interesting way - hugs to Sarah, Thanks to Stephanie and Robin, too! You guys helped make the evening that much more memorable for me.
- We got locked into the cemetary. Who knew that the gates really are locked at a particular time? Anyway, we got to visit with David (briefly since we had three active boys with us) and then leave rapidly since Barney Fife sent us 'packin'! What a beautiful place Jen found for David.
- Uneventful trip home - except for the matter of a fever for Eli and a runny nose every day since then. He was happy to see Daddy and also my mom and dad on Monday when I went back to work.
- So, that's my trip in a nutshell...I desperately wish I was closer to Jen and the boys so I could 'pop over' more often and help out or something but am thankful for the support she has close by. (If that's you and you're reading this, thank you!)
- I had planned on posting a couple of pics but am having some technical difficulties so that will have to wait...
- We had a nice visit from my brother and his wife this weekend. I'd have to say it was nice to see them for awhile and also to enjoy some of the happiness of the UT game yesterday against Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl! Go Longhorns!
- And, this afternoon, we had our second trip to the Emergency Room. Yes, that's right - the ER...I knew it would happen sooner or later but was really wanting it to be later. Eli fell this afternoon while at my parents' house and busted his head on a magazine rack. I'm thankful it didn't happen while I was at work and my parents had to call me but, still! Anyway, he now has three staples in his head - right above his right ear. He was very upset most of this evening after we came home and wouldn't let Daddy be near him. (Mommy's boy, after all) So, right now, we're hoping he sleeps well and doesn't have any complications from the injury. (We are still scheduled to have his hernia surgery this Friday! I'm calling the urologist tomorrow to see what the protocol is for this type of thing.)
- Okay, that's a long post. Thanks for sticking with it until the end! (One last thing: Happy Birthday to Brenda! I hope you had an excellent day!)
And on that farm he had a boy, Eli, Eli, Oh! We love our little boy! He's the light of our lives.

So much has happened since my last post that I'm now forced to do a bulleted list to catch everyone up...

So where and what time is the surgery? Magazine rack? Good grief! How fun was that? Glad to hear your trip was great. It makes me miss my childhood friends. No one knows you better than your bestie.
