Yes, it's true. I can get lost in the half price book store for a few hours. It doesn't matter if Eli is with me or not, I can get lost in a book!
Last month, I found myself at a local Half Price book store with Mom and Eli. This happens a lot! Anyway, I spent some time with Eli and we found several books he wanted to take home. Then, Mom came over and told me she would read with Eli so I could look for some books of my own. Off I went, to get lost in a book, no time constraints in my head.
A few minutes later, as I was browsing, I heard a page overhead for 'Customer Tena, please come to the buying area." I thought to myself, "Interesting that someone else named Tena is here..." and kept browsing.
A few minutes later, the voice came again no different than the first, "Customer Tena, please come to the buying area." That's when I thought something must be up. No way were there THREE women in this store named Tena!
I quickly made my book choice and headed to the back of the store. As I turned the corner, I saw my big boy Eli talking to the clerk at the counter. It seems that he didn't want to be with Grandma anymore (she was within eye-shot but couldn't hear what he was saying) and wanted me to he told the lady at the counter that he needed his Mom to be paged!!
What a silly boy making the clerk at Half Price Books thinking he was lost and that his mom didn't come at the first request!
