Let's go to Kansas City!

Right before school started, we traveled to Kansas City for a short trip to visit relatives and also walk in the Komen Race for the Cure.

On our way, we stopped in Oklahoma City and rode the riverboat, had lunch at Fuzzy's and did some window shopping.  Eli loved the boat best!

This is at the visitor center in Kansas.  Eli chose to wear his bandana pants and vest that day.  (I made him that outfit for summer camp during Pirate week but he loves them so much that he wears them when he isn't doing dress up!!)

We visited Kaleidoscope at the Hallmark Visitor Center and did some crafts, running around and had some fun before we met up with the cousins!

This is a HUGE lego creation at the mall attached to our hotel.

BIG ice cream scoop and my boy!

We ate one evening at Fritz's.  It has a train track running from the kitchen to each table and your food is delivered on that track in the ceiling.  It's pretty fun although the food wasn't great.  The only thing the servers brought to the table were drinks.

Each kid gets a hat.

There was also a nice dinosaur exhibit in the mall.  Eli liked to play with the dino eggs and dig in the dirt.

Melted crayon art at Kaleidoscope.

PROOF!  Eli loves his Grandma!!
Eli and cousins Jenna and Lilly being silly at the pool!

View of the Komen Race from our room!

Eli was so excited to get a pedometer of his very own!  And, truthfully, it saved the day.  If it weren't for that, we probably wouldn't have made it the whole way but we kept asking him how many steps he'd taken and that would distract him for a bit.

So excited to show off his steps!

These cousins look a lot alike.  This is Christopher and he's seven.

Singing to the movie!  Still the happy traveler...

Aunt Naomi with her cake at the party.  It was so nice to see everyone that day and help to celebrate with Naomi.  She's my grandma's only sister and the only one of  four still living.
