Husband has wanted a stair stepper for the longest time. He had one before in his previous life (with his previous wife) but he lost it - in the divorce. It hasn't stopped him from lamenting that he'd really like to have another one like it! (Stair stepper - not the wife, I hope!)
Anyway, when he talks about it, I ignore him for the most part. Except sometimes I add that I'd prefer a treadmill like the one he made me get rid of when we moved to this house!
So, last week, he tells me that he's found a stair stepper on Craigslist made by the same company as his old stair stepper and he's going to go look at it. My only comment was that I would prefer a treadmill and that he shouldn't go look at the stair stepper. (The man drives a truck! He might come home with that thing!)
Friday was the night I go from school to my other job before coming home super late. But he calls me and tells me he's brought home some cool FREE stuff from Craigslist and I will be so excited!
When I got home that night, I found him working out on his new machine. No, he didn't find a stair stepper - he found a Gazelle! You might be familiar with it if you've seen the infomercial with Tony Little. Anyway, he also brought home several VCR's without remotes, a children's bicycle that needs a new seat, a working photo printer with all the accessories, an interesting candle holder and other miscellany. (I would throw this stuff away, too!)
I decided to try out the modern day torture device that looks like an elliptical machine if you squint at it. I goofed around for about 15 minutes and joked about this silly machine. People gave it away!!!
I laughed about it until Saturday morning when I could hardly get out of bed. Arghhhh! So, when I get up enough nerve to try it again, I'll let you know if the pain is 'good' or 'bad.'
The good news is: we don't have a stair stepper but we have this interesting new machine. I really want a treadmill. Anyone have one they're willing to give away?

Good for you! I've been working out on my elliptical for over a month now for 15-20 minutes a day and love it! I think you'll find that you like it after awhile!
Now... get rid of the rest of the "junk" and enjoy the GAZELLE!
Brenda :)
Too funny!
We need to get together some time - are you planning play-dates again this summer?
Will you be in town at all this summer?
Thanks for taking time to help me the other day!
